The rules of using Vance Rank, in plain language.

These terms set out what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. They are short because the service is straightforward: we scan stores you are authorized to check, report what we observe, and change nothing without your approval.

01The service

Vance Rank analyzes public ecommerce storefronts: it crawls and renders publicly reachable pages, reports concrete findings with evidence, and — where you approve a specific change — can apply fixes to stores you connect. Scans require no store credentials; writes require your explicit approval of an exact proposal.

02Accounts and responsibility

You must be able to enter a binding agreement to create an account. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly about any use of your account you did not authorize. Actions taken through your account — including approvals of proposed changes — count as yours. Account data handling is described in our Privacy notice.

03Store authorization

Add or connect only stores you own, operate, or are expressly authorized to act for. Public scans read pages that are already publicly available; connecting write access, approving a fix, or requesting a refund are actions reserved for the account owner or their authorized team.

04Acceptable use

Do not use Vance Rank to attack a site, evade access controls, circumvent robots.txt or rate limits, direct scans at private or internal network targets, or resell raw evidence about a store you are not authorized to represent. We may act against accounts that break these rules, as described under suspension.

05Paid services

Paid products are billed per the prices shown on Pricing, in USD. One-time products (Full Scan, Verify, Review) grant access for their stated scope; subscriptions (Patrol tiers) renew monthly until ended and can be stopped from the workspace billing area or by contacting us. Applicable taxes, if any, follow your purchase location and are shown by the payment provider. Refunds follow our refund policy.

06Your content, our work

Your store data and the reports generated for your account exist for you to use in running and fixing your store. The scanner, its checks, evidence tooling and the Vance Rank name and design are ours, and we may use aggregated, non-identifying service metrics to operate and improve the platform. Scanning your store does not give Vance Rank any claim on your store's content.

07Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided without an uptime guarantee: maintenance, failover or incidents can interrupt scanning, monitoring or the workspace. Findings are bounded machine observations of publicly reachable pages — useful, evidenced, and reproducible, but not legal, compliance or financial advice. The limits of what a public crawl can see are described openly on Methodology; please read results with them in mind.

08Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, abuses the scanning infrastructure, or where we are required to act by law — with notice where reasonably possible. On closure, data handling follows the retention and deletion behavior stated in the Privacy notice; pending refund-eligible purchases are settled under the refund policy.

09Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes are announced on this page with an updated date, and through the contact email for accounts affected in ways that change their obligations.
